How about a zero-emission courier option or perhaps a city full of hybrid taxicabs?
These are just a few of the initiatives that make this provincial capital city very green. (Of course, not having any snow also helps. Wink, wink.)
Apparently, Victoria has legislated that all taxis in town shall by hybrids.
GeaZone is a new cargo bike business recently launched by a 24-year-old former downhill racer. Their prices and times are in line with motorized couriers, and they are absolutely zero-emission.
Smart cars are extremely prevalent in this city as well as bicycles.
I have never seen so many people commuting to work via bike! It’s awesome.
If I had to sum up this city in two words or less, I’d say “clean and green.” They even steam clean gum off the streets!

nice, sounds like my kind of place…being the avid bike rider that I am, and car-free household! How are they for bike lanes? Here in Toronto it is an on-going battle for road space between the cars and bikes. but we do have some lanes.
