Artist’s Bio
Janine Lindgren is a sculptor and printmaker, who works with traditional materials and techniques to explore contemporary issues. Her education includes: AOCA – Ontario College of Art, BA – University of Guelph, and a Bachelors in Education from OISE, University of Toronto. Janine has taught visual arts to children and adults at the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario) for 20 years, and is also employed with the Toronto District School Board. She has travelled to many places, where art has brought her to meet many people, through cultural creativity. Her studio is located in downtown Toronto, where she creates artworks and commissions, and has been in numerous group and solo shows. She also loves to draw, including an occasional humorous sketch or cartoon. Janine lives in Toronto with her husband, who is also an artist, and daughter who is very interested in art and design.
