The Chip Charitable Services (CHIP) at your local hospitals funds the everyday amenities of a television and telephone for inpatients in financial need. These services help to make a difficult situation more manageable for patients, who are asked to pay up to $ 10.00 per day for TV and $3.00 per day for telephone.
Being admitted to hospital with a serious illness can be a lengthy, isolating and difficult experience. Patients are often confined to their room for long periods of time. With this isolation come challenges that make coping difficult. Work life is put on hold causing patients to experience financial stress. Relying on government income assistance benefits and private insurance plans often means adapting to a significantly reduced income.
When we all go through difficult times, communicating with those closest to us can provide great reassurance and comfort. Unfortunately, with the financial strain that many inpatients encounter, paying for telephone and television services are often not an option.
CHIP CHARITABLE SERVICES is working with corporations and community based business to enhance public awareness and to raise funds to help our fellow community members who are now hospitalized and in need of your support
Please support “Project Zoom” in raising funds for our cause.
Sincerely,
Jim Dinneen, President
